Workstation Computer Glasses
The University of Cologne provides staff with visual aids for work at computer monitors if the findings of the company’s doctor examination deem that regular glasses are not suitable and that special glasses are necessary.
Prerequisites

- already wears glasses
- has an employment relationship that will continue for at least 6 months
- is not younger than 40 (exceptions are possible)
Service
The University of Cologne has a framework agreement with the company Fielmann. You can visit any of the approximately 780 Fielmann branches in Germany to obtain advice and order your glasses.
The service provided under the framework agreement is free of charge and includes:
- frames from the Nulltarif-Collection (approx. 700 models - plastic or metal)
- lenses from leading brand manufacturers that are tested for quality according to DIN ISO standards
- anti-reflective coating
- a selection of glasses tailored to your needs:
- Single vision lens colourless silicate,
- Computer glasses in colourless plastic or

- Availing of the service of an optician other than Fielmann
